さをりで、バッグをつくるたのしみ。 bag with hand-weaving cloth

今年に入ってから、何回か
さをり織りのワークショップに
参加してくださっているかたに、
作品を見せていただきました。
This woman has learned SAORI-ORI weaving several times at BIGLABO.
She showed me her original bag made with her own hand-weaving cloth.

オレンジ色のアクセントを、
思ったところに持ってきて縫うのが
難しかったそうです。
おでかけに使っては、
「あら、すてきなバッグ！！」
とよく言われたそうです。
ほんとうに、おでかけにぴったりの、
きれいなバッグ。
She said that it was a little bit difficult to put and sew the orange stripe as her design.
She has had the bag with her meeting friends, and they all said,
“Oh, it is so beautiful!”
As her friend's words, it is actually a beautiful bag and good for going out.
今回は、ちょっとめずらしい、
リボンの糸を使った布を織ることに
挑戦されました。
She tried to use ribbons for the warp and the woof this time.

さくらを連想させるような、
可憐な美しい色です。
この布で、今度は、大きいがまぐちバッグを
つくるという構想です。
春のおでかけに間に合いそうですね、
お花見に持っていったら、きっとすてきです。
Her cloth reminds me cherry blossom, it is so beautiful.
She has a plan to make a big pouch with it.
She will be done it before spring,
it will be so good to take the bag for HANAMI.

また来年、お会いしましょうね、
とご挨拶をかわしました。
もう年の瀬ですね。
We say to each other, “See you next year.”“yoi-otosi-o-omukae-kudasai”
So I just realized it is the end of the year now.
