かぞくで織る一枚の布。 a family's work in weaving

「なにか、体験できるものはありませんか？」
と、BIGLABOへやって来られたご家族。
ぐるっとなかを見学したときの、
ちいさいお嬢さんの反応をみて、
さをり織りをやってみましょうか、ということに
なりました。
"Do you have something to enjoy with art or craft?"
A family visited BIGLABO today.
They looked round all the room for workshop and
the parents thought the daughter should like weaving.

お嬢さんは、５歳。
ママが優しい声で、
「１、２、３」
とかぞえながら、ペダルを踏んで、
お嬢さんが織るのを手伝いました。
The girl is 5 years old.
The mother counts "one, two, three" tenderly helping her daughter with step the pedals.

最初から最後まで、
５歳のお嬢さんが織りました。
パパは、応援。
ママは、お手伝い。
The girl did all the work from the beginning to the end.
The father smiled and cheered,
the mother helped her.

横糸がなくなるたびに、
「ここでやめますか？　もうちょっと、つづけますか？」
と尋ねるのですが、かわいい笑顔で、
はにかみながら、
もうちょっと…、
と言って、どんどん布は長くなっていきました。
I asked her if she quit or continue the work at the end of the woof a couple of times,
and each time, she showed cute smile and said "More."
Her cloth got longer.

５歳とは思えない、熟練の手さばき。
はじめてなのに、糸のはしに気を配り、
かちっと織りあげていきます。
Her hands are very clever!
She wove the cloth carefully and tried her work perfect.

さをり織りの機にむかうお嬢さんの熱心さを、
笑顔で見守っていたパパとママ、
とてもすてきなご家族でした!!
The parents' smiles were impressive while they're looking at the little daughter weaving a cloth.
The family is so nice.

さをり織りのワークショップは、
再来週、予定されています。
