たのしい週末。 people at BIGLABO
週末のビッグラボ、
たくさんの来訪者がありました。
２日分の出来事を記していきますので、
長いですよ。
So many people visited BIGLABO.
This topic will be long because I will write about things of 2 days.

松田一戯（まつだ・かずき）さんの公民館講座、
「木彫教室〜来年の干支『午』」です。
毎年人気の講座のため、今年は、
公民館だけでなく、BIGLABOでも一部受講生を受け入れて、
行われました。

MATSUDA's workshop of wood carving is so popular.
初日は、ばんそうこうの出番があったのですが、
2日目の今日は、集中して、
のみをつかっておられます。
At the first day some of them cut their fingers and applied adhestive tape,
the second day they concentrate in their work enough.
彫りおえたら、下地を塗って、
彩色していきます。
After carving they put on an undercoat and then colors.

さをり織りのワークショップで、今、
傑作が織られているらしい、と
聞きつけて、２階へ。
小学生のおじょうさんや、お母さまがたが、
さをり織りの部屋で、たのしい時間を
過ごしていました。
I hear workshop of SAORI-ORI weaving is fantastic just now so I go up to the 2nd floor.
School children and their mothers enjoy weaving and learning how to make clothes.
勝純美先生のせつめいを、聞きます。
しんけんな顔。
服って、じぶんでつくれるんですね。
They listen to Sumi KATSU the teacher of the workshop.
So serious.
The idea to make clothes by theirselves is new, but it is not impossible.
勝純美（かつ・すみ）先生は、今日も
シックなさをり織りのベストを着ておられました。
手づくりのものを身に着けているひとは、
すてきだなぁ。
Sumi KATSU is in chic vest of SAORI-ORI as usual today.
Those who wear something handmade look nice and seem to have good taste.
ゆびあみを、小学校５年生の由紀ちゃんに、
おそわります。
ゆびあみで、マフラーとかいろいろつくれるよ！
などなど、オシャレ情報も知っている由紀ちゃん、
かわいくて、すてきです。
Yuki-chan show me how to knit by fingers.
Yuki-chan is 5th grader and she knows how to make a scarf by finger-knitting,
she is so cute!
ふたりでつくった！
という、長い長いさをり織りの作品。
ふたりいっぺんに巻いて、記念撮影しました。
The sisters wove the long cloth of SAORI-ORI.
They wore it together in this photo.

木造校舎の調理室を利用して、
こどもたちが、ハロウィンをたのしんでいます。
ジャック・オ・ランタンづくりは、
市内中学校のALTのエリカ先生が、
おしえてくださいました。
エリカ先生は、ハリー・ポッターのコスチューム。
友達に手伝ってもらって、作ったそうです。
似合いますね!!
Children enjoyed Halloween event.
Erica-sensei the ALT at junior high school in Yabu City showed how to make Jack-o'-lantern.
She wears costume of Harry Potter, it is nice!!
カフェのコーヒーをテイクアウトして、
中庭で、ランチ。
農業研修で大屋へ来られた若い人をともなって、
地元農家のかたが、BIGLABOをおとずれました。
気さくにあいさつしてくださいます。
They take lunch and coffee in the courtyard.
The farming family visits BIGLABO with a young man who came to study agriculture in Japan.
Toshiaki UEGAKI raised his hand for a greeting, thanks!

部室棟からは、高い音や低い音、
いろんな音が聴こえてきます。
スティールパンをつくっています。
アコースティック楽器ですが、それゆえに、
製作工程は何段階もあって、むずかしそう。
We can hear the sounds of metal.
He is making a steel drum.
It is an acoustic musical instrument,
so it looks difficult to make step by step.
